This has been the most challenging year of my life

This has been the most challenging year of my life.

But it has also been the most BEAUTIFUL,

Most POWERFUL,

And the most MAGICAL year.

I’ve been leaning so deeply into the wild unknown…

Following my heart

And listening to my intuition…

Diving to the depths of healing the wounds & traumas

That’s I and my blood lines have carried for way too long.

I’ve been pushed, pulled, and drawn to my absolute edges…

Thinking “this” was all I could handle.

That I was “done.”

I have cried “no more” to my best friends dozens of times.

Finding myself in surreal moments thinking “how is this even possible?”

Countless moments where I’d want to hit the “esc” button.

Thinking there was nothing more I could (or would allow myself to) experience, see, learn or explore…

But then something would shift.

The death portal would transition to a rebirth portal.

And what was once a shaky unstable edge,

Would become solid ground for miles.

And that’s when I would know that the thing we call “growth” and “healing”…

Well, happened.

Kind of like I completed another level in a video game,

Or pulled off another layer of an onion.

I could have checked out or walked away a million times.

But so much magic would continue to reveal itself.

Longstanding mental dots would finally connect.

Full body relief would be experienced.

Like a breath of fresh air or a sip of cold kombucha on a hot day.

A hug from that one person that you can just melt into.

The rainbow after the storm.

…

It wasn’t for nothing.

The whole point to dating yourself is to listen to YOU.

Your inner voice.

Your feelings.

What’s true for you.

I have often found myself in the old habit of listening to others and going along with their preferences.

What to eat.

Where to go.

What to do.

What to buy.

What to wear.

But honestly…

You know what’s best for you.

You know what you want.

Don’t say “I don’t know” or “I don’t mind” — because YOU DO KNOW AND MIND.

You’re just so used to muting that voice and feelings that it’s easier to just be the “good girl” and “go with the flow” than speak up.

Honey, I feel you.

And maybe this is your call to reprioritize yourself…

Your heart.

Your joy.

Your gut.

Your power.

I thought I totally lost myself… A few months a

I thought I totally lost myself…

A few months ago, I sat in a 2-night ceremony with Grandmother Ayahuasca.

I was sitting in the power after hours of incredible healings and working with my maternal ancestors.

And then everything went dark.

Everything… disappeared.

I didn’t know the difference from right to left.

Up from down.

Right or wrong.

Truth or illusion.

Everything I thought I knew.

What was love.

Who I could trust.

What was real.

Who I was…

It all disappeared right in front of my very own eyes.

My light — out.

My joy — gone.

The lens which I saw the world — erased.

My fears — vanished.

All that was left was this big void of absolute nothingness.

I thought I completely lost myself that night and there was no coming back.

In reality, it was the deepest ego death that I’ve experienced in this lifetime.

And…

That’s where the magic lives.

That’s where healing happens.

That’s where change is possible.

In the darkness.

Deep in the womb of creator.

My guiding light back home was the full moon…

As was my heart.

If I could no longer tell what was right, wrong, left, up, truth, down, illusion, trust, love, or real…

How was I to move “forward”, in any direction? … if everything is neutral & equal, while being completely non-existent at the same time.

Abuela Aya showed me:

My heart — she guides.

My body — she feels.

My mind — she connects.

My intuition — she speaks.

And so one moment at a time…

I connect within.

I follow my inner compass.

The truth is… I’ve been falling deeply in lo

The truth is…

I’ve been falling deeply in love with myself.

Since my spiritual awakening in 2016 I’ve been on a path to remember who I truly am…

The version of me before others told me who I was, who I needed to be, or what traits & behaviors were deemed worthy.

And every time I “date myself” I fall even more in love and I get one inch closer to feeling even more at home within this body.

Safer.

More peaceful.

Content.

Open & aware.

I’ve been prioritizing and creating space for my inner truth to reveal itself while the illusions that I once believed were truth have been slowly fading away.

I am perfect and enough as I am and there’s nothing I need to do or provide to be loved in my entirety.

I am not lacking or too much of anything.

Rather, I am perfect in my uniqueness and it’s *my* job to love ALL of me, first and foremost.

And more specifically, it is *my* job to love every aspect & facet of me that I or others have once deemed unworthy or unloveable.

My sensitivity.

My passion.

My wildness.

My hair.

My feelings.

My s3xua|ity.

My curiosity.

My rage.

My intuition.

I learned that loving ALL of me helps me be more open and compassionate and loving towards all others — no matter what they might have done or experienced in their past.

But I also have so much love for myself that I can confidently walk away from outdated understandings of love...

AND

Hold beautiful, strong boundaries that reflect my understanding of the true essence of love.

My love has become a living manifesto of not only the ways in which I accept love but also what & who I accept in my life.

And for that, I am grateful for this commitment & journey towards my truth.
